multifunctional accommodation De Zeeheld
De Zeeheld plays an important and broad social role in the neighborhood and offers various educational and welfare facilities, including primary education, a playgroup and kindergarten groups, a preschool for children aged 2.5 to 4 years, after-school care, and activities for all children (sports, dance, expression), a parenting support center, social work, language lessons, and exercise activities for adults, as well as education for autistic children and children of homeless parents.
The front of the building with its iconic façade has been retained in the design. While maintaining its structural integrity, this section has been rebuilt and renovated to connect with the directly adjacent new building.
The demolition of three ‘wings’ behind the building has created space for the new building, which includes a sports hall and outdoor area.
