transformation heart of the Rabobank building
The Rabo Café forms the entrance and heart of the Central Square of Rabobank's headquarters and is one of the many hospitality zones within the large-scale transformation project we worked on with Rabobank.
The old coffee bar has been completely transformed and space has been created around it for a park-like terrace with lots of greenery. The café and adjoining areas offer different types of seating to have a coffee, confer with your colleagues or join your laptop at one of the reading and landing tables.
Upon entering the building, Grietje Schepers' light installation above the bar immediately catches the eye. The luminous artwork is an inviting eye-catcher due to its organic shape and soft tactility and provides a warm welcome to the building.

The terrace area behind the coffee bar is marked by a light-colored biobased terrazzo floor surface topped with planters of the blended tiles with solid oak seats and many trees and plants combined with loose wooden furniture. A lot of furniture from the Rabobank was reused such as the oak reading tables with matching chairs.
By carefully combining all these elements, the Rabo Café has become an atmospheric and inviting environment.
