Woondôme

new landmark of Almere

The development of the Woondôme site is part of the transformation of the center of Almere-Buiten. This will give the area a higher density and a more urban character. A large part of this densification consists of housing, Woondôme will contribute to this.

Woondôme is located on the southwest corner of the center area of Almere-buiten and is part of the strip of urban
buildings along the railroad. Because it also marks the flowing curve in the Polderdreef with which one approaches the center area, the project will be a landmark in the city.
Over the Westeinde runs from the center an urban axis that ends at the Woondôme lot, for this reason the urban design concept provides for a height accent on the east side of the lot. This creates an appropriate visual boundary to the center area, giving Westeinde an urban allure.
